Installation

Inflatable raft, water, solar fountain.

200 × 60 × 30 cm

This piece was created for an exhibition in Agua Azul Park in Guadalajara. The site once contained several natural springs and a small lake. With the expansion of the city, the lake was drained and the springs that fed the San Juan de Dios River, which once ran through the city center, were diverted into pipes. It is absurd that a resource now scarce in the city has some of its springs connected directly to the sewage system. The boats are made to float on water, not to hold water inside them. They say water has memory. A small solar-powered fountain floats freely in this artificial lake.
