Inspired by the musical form Robert Schumann used in some of his works (Kinderszenen, Waldszenen…), Scenesaddresses the impossible superimposition of two landscapes. Commissioned by Galerie Gänge in Leipzig, the piece contains photographs of the artist’s garden housed inside small boxes, where robotic arms hold fragments of branches and flowers collected in and around the gallery. Within these boxes, a choreography of light and movement unfolds, casting shadows onto the photographs and connecting the vegetation of two different continents through light.
